Clinical admission
On the path to long-term recovery in one of our clinics
What is a clinical admission?
A clinical admission means that you stay in one of our clinics during your treatment journey. Sometimes, your life is so disrupted by an addiction or an eating disorder that day treatment is not effective enough. In that case, a clinical admission can be a good option. This intensive treatment literally removes you from your own environment (filled with triggers and opportunities to maintain your behavior), allowing you to work on your recovery in a calm and focused setting, following a structured routine, 24/7.Who is a clinical admission for?
What can you expect?
- Clinical admission is entirely voluntary
- Your motivation is to recover and improve
- You need a referral from your general practitioner
- You must be 'clean' upon admission (detox)
- Clinical admission lasts for 6 weeks
- *We use the 12 Steps Minnesota model for addiction
Sustainable Recovery
The clinical admission focuses on more than just detoxification, becoming clean, or gaining weight. We look beyond the addiction or eating disorder. During clinical treatment, the emphasis is on the function of addiction or an eating disorder. What underlying issue is present? Gaining insight into the how and why is essential for achieving long-term recovery. Together with expert treatment teams, we establish a strong foundation for sustainable recovery during the clinical admission.
Effective Therapy
Our evidence-based treatment includes, among others:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Schema Therapy
- Psychoeducation
- Systemic Therapy
- Creative Therapy
- Mindfulness
We believe that leisure and relaxation are important
Following a clinical admission is an intensive process and can be confrontational and exhausting. That’s why we provide plenty of opportunities for relaxation. You can rest in comfortable living rooms outside of therapy sessions, participate in guided sports and/or yoga sessions, watch a movie, engage in creative activities, relax in the garden, or enjoy one of the outings that are regularly organized.
